Hello, I’m Vaughan de Kirby. As always, I try to do brief videos on subjects that have come up in our office. And today I had a client ask me about vaccinations, so I want to clarify what vaccinations may be required, and part of this video will be a chart, which will list them, and we’ll also have an article on our website that will list them as well, so you can tell yourself whether you think you’ve had the required vaccinations.
What happens is your civil surgeon is going to be completing a form I-693. Part of that form is going to be about your vaccinations. When you go for your medical exam, the doctor will ask for proof of the vaccinations you’ve received to make sure that you received the required vaccinations. The purpose of the exam is really to make sure that you don’t have a serious public health risk, such as a disease that you may communicate to other people. The other aspect of the exam is to determine whether you’ve had the proper vaccinations.
Now in the end of the exam, the doctor is going to take the form I-693 and put it in an envelope and seal that envelope. Don’t open that envelope. Take that envelope directly to your immigration attorney, and your immigration attorney will handle the rest. I hope this brief information is helpful to you regarding your vaccinations.
